Gilead Sciences Fellowship Program 2023
Encouraging the development, exploration and dissemination of next level innovations in medical science and patient-centered care.
Projects in scope
- HIV, HBV/HDV, invasive fungal infections, metastatic breast cancer.
- Research duration for up to 1 year.
- Maximum grant € 50.000.
Project criteria
- Innovative quality-improving and/or
- Improve patient care and/or.
- Improve the advancement of medical science.
- Regular funding from the healthcare system is unavailable.
Timelines 2022 – 2023
Checkbox conditions
- The Applicant should be a Dutch legal entity and the proposal should contain sufficient information to assess if the project is in compliance with the relevant Dutch laws and CGR Code of Conduct.
- The proposed project is non-interventional, e.g. it does not in any way commit to the prescription, supply or (prior, current or potential future) use of medicinal products of Gilead, nor to interventional trials as within the scope of the Dutch Medicinal Research involving Human Subject Act (WMO).
- The Applicant is fully independent of Gilead. The Applicant should disclose the total value of any funding the Applicant may have received from Gilead over the past 12 months.
- Applications should include a fully specified budget including quotations where relevant, and detailed description of the project.
Checkbox proposal requirements
- The proposal is written in English.
- The proposal does not exceed 5 pages (font: times new roman 12; excluding detailed information on the budget).
- The proposal includes a clear objective, rationale and methodology, feasible milestones, and an outline of the publication plans for the project.
- The proposal contains clear details on the budget. Gilead does not provide funding for the purchase of equipment and only conditionally for personnel. See section 6 of the manual for details.
- Proposals fulfilling all requirements can be submitted prior to October 1st 2022 to the Gilead Grants Portal.
